Why choose Polynucleotides?

Regenerative treatment

Polynucleotides are natural-origin product and the latest revolutionary tool in regenerative medicine that work on a cellular level to repair tissue and boost skin quality in both the face and body. This innovative new skin-boosting technology is taking the aesthetics market by storm and aims to transform the skin from within.

Each polynucleotide product within the brand has its own unique formula which allows us to tackle concerns in every skin type and in different areas of the face and body.

Polynucleotides can be used to treat:

  • Fine lines
  • Acne scarring
  • Dark under-eye circles

  • Poor tone and texture

How is it different from filler?

Rather than acting as a filler or padding the skin until removed or dissolved, the Polynucleotides give the skin its regenerative instructions and then disappear.

How is it different from other skin boosters?

    Treatment areas

Skin boosters are generally made from hyaluronic acid, which is great for giving your skin a hydration boost. They also can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines.

Polynucleotides stimulate fibroblast and collagen production and wound-healing properties, unlike skin boosters. As a result, they don’t provide the same anti-aging and regenerating effects as polynucleotide injections do.

While some skin boosters contain extra beneficial ingredients like vitamins, minerals and amino acids, polynucleotides bring antioxidant and fibroblast stimulation into the mix as well as a hydration boost.

Polynucleotides can be used as the first treatment to prepare the skin for further treatments and procedures, however it can be used as treatment in its own right.

    Polynucleotides FAQs

    What are polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides are natural, highly purified DNA molecules that are injected into the skin and work by stimulating fibroblasts which encourages cell turnover, improves elasticity, boosts collagen production and hydrates skin thanks to powerful wound-healing polymers.
    How do polynucleotides work?
Cells have DNA, which is made of polynucleotides. When we inject more polynucleotides into aged and damaged skin cells, they help to regenerate tissue by stimulating fibroblasts – a type of cell that contributes to the formation of connective tissue. Essentially, we are healing skin from within.
    How are polynucleotides administered?
Polynucleotides are injected into aged and damaged and skin via specific techniques, depending on the product used.
How long do the results last?
Patients can expect to see initial results after 3 weeks, which will last 6 - 9 months. Our recommended treatment course is 3 sessions: 1 every 21 days.
How many treatments should I have?
Our recommended treatment course is 3 sessions: 1 every 21 days.
Are there any side effects of polynucleotides?
Side effects are minimal, depending on the injection technique used. As with any injection, patients can expect some slight redness and swelling following treatment, which settles after 1–2 days. No serious adverse events have been reported.
Can I use polynucleotides alongside other treatments?
Yes, absolutely. All our polynucleotides can be offered as a stand-alone treatment or used in combination with any other procedure.
We have seen excellent results alongside dermal filler, botulinum toxin, PRP and radiofrequency treatments.
    Are Polynucleotides safe?
Yes. Results from multiple clinical studies for the polynucleotides we use all have fantastic outcomes.
What aftercare guidelines do I need to follow after polynucleotides?
    – Keep the skin clean after treatment
    – DON’T touch the area for 6 hours after treatment. This is to avoid the risk of infection
    – DON’T apply makeup or have a spray tan for 6 hours after treatment. This is to avoid the risk of infection
    – AVOID getting too hot after treatment, for example having hot showers (mild only), sauna, steam room. This is to avoid the risk of swelling.
    Who should avoid polynucleotide treatment?
People who are allergic to some forms of fish should not have polynucleotide treatment – please contact us for further details.
Is this the 'salmon sperm facial'?
Polynucleotides were nicknamed the 'salmon sperm facial' in the media. They don't actually contain salmon sperm, but are based on fragments from salmon or trout DNA. This mirrors human DNA and offers incredible bio-stimulating properties for the skin.
