Facial Profiling

Facial profiling uses key scientific principles of beauty to rebalance facial features such as the nose, chin and lips for more harmonised proportions and symmetry, creating an overall more beautiful look from the side view of your face as well as the front.

Why choose facial profiling?

Facial profile reshaping is one of the most effective treatments that can be accomplished with facial fillers, as it works to rebalance the key facial features to improve the balance, symmetry and harmony for a more aesthetically pleasing profile.

Dr Tim Pearce, SkinViva Clinical Director, explains:

I find that the facial profile is one of the most rewarding treatments to do with dermal fillers.

Nose, chin and lip reshaping together in the right person can generate a more harmonious appearance that simply makes you look more beautiful without looking ‘fake’.

The key is to make little adjustments in lots of places, to make for a beautiful transformation that never distracts or re-defines you, but allows your natural beauty to shine through

What can be improved with facial profiling?

    Benefits of facial profiling

The facial profile treatment looks at the relative projection, shape and position of three key areas of the face that form its basic structure:

    • Chin
    • Nose
    • Lips

To get the ideal facial profile it’s about looking at the angles between different features. There are ideal angles between the forehead and the nose, the nose and the mouth and the mouth and the chin. Although non-surgical rhinoplasty is the core of facial profiling, the real gains are when you make a nose fit with other features of the face, especially the top lip and chin. A well done procedure should create a sense of harmony, and should never make someone look fake. As well as angles, we also look at proportions, and try to use leonardo da vinci’s ‘golden ratio’.

    Steps to Facial Harmonisation
To achieve the right sort of result requires 3 key steps:

    1. Careful analysis of the patient’s facial features and proportions
    2. A deep understanding of the scientific principles of beauty – including angles and ratios which define ‘beauty’
    3. Application of facial fillers using SkinViva’s subtle techniques, involving multiple injections of small quantities of filler in several places supported in the lower face by a more defined chin.

    Got a Question?

Why haven't I heard about this treatment?
Facial profile reharmonisation is an advanced aesthetic procedure. Many practitioners and companies prefer to stick to the well known easy treatments. However, for skilled and trained Aesthetic Clinician, this is one of the most effective and satisfying procedures.
    How long does it last?
SkinViva experts use the very latest generation of long-lasting fillers. Results last 1-2 years, at which point treatment can be repeated.
    Is it safe?
Yes, we use top brand facial filler products which have excellent safety records. Cosmetic doses of dermal fillers are relatively small in real terms and allergic reactions are extremely rare.
Surgery with facial implants carries a number of known risks, including infection and the risk of failure.
Dermal fillers are a highly acceptable alternative, providing a more natural looking result that can be adjusted if required.
Do I need an initial consultation before a dermal filler treatment?
Our Clinicians will always provide a consultation before treatment, but you can usually have the treatment during the same appointment if both you and the clinician are in agreement to do so.
What do I need to consider after the treatment?
As dermal fillers have little or no recovery time, there is little aftercare required. You will be advised to avoid makeup straight after treatment and to stay out of the sun and avoid vigorous exercise or consumption of alcohol for the first 24 hours.
    What does it cost?
As treatment is customised to the individual, a quote will be provided at your consultation.
To give you an idea you can see our dermal filler prices on this website
How long does the treatment take?
Generally about 30 minutes to complete a facial profile reshaping, although again this will depend on the individual.
