Eye Bag Treatment

Eyebags are that area between the high point of our cheeks and the lower eyelids.

This area can often give away our age by appearing darker and more hollow over time. Clients complain they look tired all the time. Fortunately, there’s a fabulous way to treat under-eye hollows or eye bags by using carefully placed dermal filler injections.

Why treat the under eye area?

The ageing process means we lose elasticity in our skin leading to sagginess but we also lose volume as fatty tissues start to break down over time. In the under eye area this leads to an effect of hollowing or the creation of what’s known as a tear trough. Over time, more of a shadowing or dark patch will become more and more prominent making patient’s often look older than they really are and adding to a gaunt or skeletal look.

Treating the under eye area therefore can result in a fresher more youthful look in one of the key areas that our friends and family all tend to notice – our eyes.

How does treating the under eye area work?

    Treating the under eye area

The area between the lower eyelid and upper cheek is known as the tear trough. As we get older this area becomes deeper, darker and more noticeable with dark circles or shadows.

Treating the tear troughs is an advanced non-surgical procedure and the experience of the clinician is key in order to prevent lumps, bumps and unwanted side effects. This is why all the SkinViva Aesthetic Clinicians are specifically trained in how to carry out effective tear trough rejuvenation procedures.

The SkinViva practitioners use a smooth injectable gel known as a dermal filler in order to raise the hollow/valley just beneath your eye to be back at the level of the surrounding tissue. This has the effect of smoothing your skin and reducing the shadow, dark area, and impression of hollow eyes.
