Clinical Director, Dr Tim Pearce, founded SkinViva in 2008. The South Africa-born 35-year-old, explains that he bases his treatment around the Egyptian queen Nefertiti who has been celebrated for her beauty for 3,000 years.
“We’re not just a vending machine for treatment. The thing I’m most passionate about is that we’re offering an artistic restoration; our best work is noticed on an almost subconscious level.
“It’s subtle. I never want to cross that line of looking unnatural. We do little adjustments in a lot of places, looking at the whole face in context.
“The difference between fashion and beauty is that you might get your lips done and then look back at your wedding pictures in years to come and cringe. That will not be the case with my treatments because real beauty is timeless.”
SkinViva currently employs 21 members of staff and are planning to announce 2 additional injectors due to their ongoing expansion.
Their growth has also seen the enterprising team establish the SkinViva Training School in 2013, which gives other medical professionals the chance to learn how to administer skin treatments like Botox injections and dermal fillers.
“When we first started we hadn’t figured out where we fitted into the market place.
“But now we want to champion the fact we’ve put an enormous amount of investment into the training of our clinicians and making our consultations as client-centred as possible.
“We also want the brand to reflect a feeling of wellbeing and happiness.
“It’s not just about getting rid of wrinkles and having a vanity-obsessed approach to looks, it’s about clients walking out of our clinic feeling great, having been freed of something that’s holding them back.
“Our slogan is ‘Love Your Look’, as our goal is for every client to love their look when they leave the SkinViva clinic.”
