Many of us have an area of our face that we’re self-conscious about. Today let’s focus on the most protuberant part of the face: The nose.
Whether it’s large/small, narrow/wide, flat/proud, straight/bent, has a bump/dip and regardless of whether you love it or hate it, you can’t hide from your nose. Those of you that dislike your nose will all have experienced avoiding a photograph from “the wrong side”. Perhaps you’ve even considered surgery to correct your nose, but the cost and risks have put you off. Perhaps you’ve had a surgical rhinoplasty, but it still doesn’t look the way you’d hoped.
“It has now become my favourite treatment to perform, as I love the difference it makes to my clients appearance, but more than that their self-confidence.”
Well there is hope and an affordable answer: non-surgical rhinoplasty.
When I first learnt this technique of injecting dermal filler into a nose to get the desired look I remember thinking “How brilliant is this – no surgery, leave with a nose you love and with very little downtime.”
There is so much one can do with dermal filler in the nose – from turning the nose up, to making it straighter, neater, more symmetrical . What I find really interesting, particularly with larger noses, is that although we are adding a small amount of volume to the nose with dermal filler, the nose often looks smaller after treatment due to improving the profile.
It has now become my favourite treatment to perform, as I love the difference it makes to my clients appearance, but more than that their self-confidence. When one is conscious about a part of their face or body it can hold you back, alter the way you interact even with friends and family. To see that self-consciousness disappear as my client looks in the mirror is the best job satisfaction one could ask for.
The Juvederm manufactured hyaluronic acid dermal fillers we use are very safe, and because hyaluronic acid is produced naturally in our bodies, it’s completely reversible. For the non-surgical rhinoplasty treatment, we use the longer lasting Vycross range of Juvederm dermal filler, which lasts between 12-18 months. The results look and feel incredibly natural.
