Who Can Carry Out Aesthetic Treatments?

SkinViva-Website-Main-slider-doctorsShockingly, there are no legal restrictions at all on administering cosmetic injections at present.

Many clients would simply assume that someone carrying out injections had a medical background and suitable qualifications and training, but no training or professional qualifications are required at all for injecting BOTOX® or dermal filler.

BOTOX® is a prescription-only medicine, which means that people injecting BOTOX® should work with a qualified prescriber in order to get a prescription for each patient, but media reports have revealed that some are managing to circumvent this law too.

Dermal fillers are not prescription-only, so any unqualified persons may purchase and inject.

Who Carries Out Aesthetic Treatments at SkinViva?

SkinViva’s policy is very clear and clients should be reassured:

    • All Aesthetic Clinicians are fully qualified Doctors or Dentists
    • All are full registered with their respective professional bodies (GMC/GDC)
    • All have carried out extra training in aesthetic treatments
    • All are personally selected and vetted by Dr Tim Pearce
    • All have built up extensive experience of carrying out aesthetic treatments before working for SkinViva
    • Most also work with SkinViva Training, sharing their skills and teaching cosmetic inejctions to new practitioners (who MUST have a medical background in order to train)
