The story of truckdriver Tony Harper featured in the Warrington Guardian, as the haulier explained why he’d joined the growing numbers of men getting ‘Bro-Tox’ – or Botox for men.
Tony found that hours of driving and squinting at the sun were giving him premature wrinkles, so opted for £300 Botox treatment with SkinViva, targeting his forehead, frown lines and crow’s feet.
Tony says that all HGV drivers run the risk of prematurely aged skin:
“Sometimes I’d get to work in the morning and people would say ‘You look absolutely shattered.’.
“But I was absolutely fine – I just looked really tired because of the state of my skin.
“I love my job, but I think all truckers are susceptible to really bad wrinkles.
“You’re often in the cab all day and more often then not you’re squinting through the window due to glare from the sun.
“When you get to your mid-40’s you start to feel your age. I didn’t want to look it too”
Tony is no metrosexual – he’s a hard-hitting middle-weight boxer and former champion – but says that years of boxing probably haven’t helped his skin either.
Dr Sharan Uppal carried out the cosmetic injections at SkinViva’s Manchester clinic. She explained:
“The perfect treatment is one where people notice you look great after, but can’t put their finger on why.”
SkinViva offer free consultations at their main clinic in Manchester and also at an extensive choice of conveniently located locations across the North West, including Cheshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire, Manchester, Stockport and Bury.
