There is little doubt that full lips are an attractive feature. Lips that are balanced and even, give a soft pout and are not covered in lines are an appealing, dare we say sexy look.
Hence the trend to lip fillers and injectable lip plumping treatments, which can gently add volume to create a fuller smile. In addition, lip filler injections can be used to reshape the lip area, adding more or less volume to the top or bottom if the lips are unequal; or sculpting a cupid’s bow or prettier lip shape.
However, it is possible to have too much of a good thing…
This week actress Michelle Collins has hit the headlines after commenting on twitter about the over-done lips she’d seen on Eastenders, saying:
‘Why do actresses have ridiculous lip jobs done???
‘Watched Easties tonight!! Was shocked! Big lips just seem to take over the screen! Too distracting!’
However, after a twitter backlash, she said before withdrawing from the debate:
‘No bitching please! An observation that’s all! Strange now who’s doing the bullying!!??? No more tweeting for me!’
SkinViva offer lip enhancement fillers in clinics and salons across Manchester, Cheshire and the North West.
They do see clients concerned about the risk of over-inflated lips, but favour a full yet natural look avoiding the “trout pout” which can occur when too much filler is used.
Clinicians are highly trained and experienced and only use top brand fillers which are temporary. The team is led by fully qualified doctor and Clinical Director, Dr Tim Pearce MB ChB BSc (Hons) MRCGP.
SkinViva offer a range of popular cosmetic skin treatments including botox, fillers, dermaroller micro-needling and top brand skin creams.
