The aesthetics industry has been thriving for numerous years, with people keen to tweak their appearance, with minimally invasive procedures and less cost involved compared to surgery. From lips fillers to non-surgical nose jobs, there are many options to enhance facial features and boost wellbeing.

Here are some of the aesthetics treatments that will be most in-demand throughout 2022:

    Tweakments

This new term has been given to a broad range of treatments that involve subtle, non-surgical procedures. Tweakments provide desired results without being hugely noticeable, which is perfect for people who are looking for a more natural look.

    Glow up

A glow up is where a skin booster injection is used to hydrate the skin, providing a glowing effect. The TikTok Glow filter is partly responsible for this growing trend, where people want to see faster results than you get with daily moisturising. By injecting the moisturiser, you can get instant results in boosting skin radiance.

    Superficial chemical peels

While chemical peels have been available for some time, recent developments to the ingredients mean that many of them are suitable for even people with sensitive skin. Superficial chemical peels are the mildest type of chemical peel and they are used to treat acne, fine lines and uneven pigmentation. The process involves the removal of the top layer of skin (epidermis) and is a straightforward aesthetics treatment.

    Liquid nose jobs

Liquid nose jobs, or liquid rhinoplasty, is another very popular treatment that helps to reshape noses without the need for surgery. Using injectable fillers, skilled aesthetics practitioners are able to design small changes around the nose that helps to give a more even appearance. Unlike going under the knife, a liquid nose job is a quick and usually pain-free procedure.

    Subtle Botox

Botox, the injection of botulinum toxin, has been a popular aesthetics treatment for many years but there is a growing trend in people requesting more subtle Botox treatments, to achieve a more natural look.

Rather than having a noticeable ‘frozen forehead’, clients are asking for treatments that smooth out fine lines without taking the expression out of their face. With people regularly wearing masks over the last year, a lot of focus is around the eye and forehead areas, and these are the main areas that people are asking to have subtle Botox in.

Other COVID-19 related influences on treatments include the Zoom Boom, which refers to people being more aware of how they look on video calls to decide whether they want treatments such as glow ups or chemical peels to improve their online appearance.

Consultations taking place online instead of face-to-face are also a big trend in the aesthetics industry to minimise personal contact and it is also more convenient than travelling to the clinic.

These are the treatment trends to look out for in 2022. If you would like to arrange a consultation for one of these treatments or another that you have in mind, arrange a callback.
